In November 1989 June and I were married on the deck of my home in Auckland by an old and good friend, Cath Tizard, the Mayor of Auckland, now Dame Catherine Tizard. It was a very happy event and all our children grandchildren, relations and friends gathered around. My life would have been very empty without Louise and June. After Louise's death I had five years of depression and misery. When my long friendship with June blossomed into a much warmer relationship, I learned to live and love again. What a fortunate person I have been!
